DigiElch 6TM from ElchSoft is an electrochemical simulation program. It can simulate an arbitrary number of charge transfer steps and first- or second-order chemical reactions.

The program works for the most common electrode geometries including the simulation of thin layer cell experiments and the exact (two-dimensional) simulation of band and disk microelectrodes. Effects such as IR-drop and/or double layer charging can be included in all these simulations.

DigiElch brings a number of unique features to the electrochemical simulation field:

·  Fitting multiple data files to a mechanism to extract kinetic and thermodynamic properties.(DigiElch-Professional only)

·  Exact 2-D simulation of band and disk microelectrodes.

·  Cyclic Voltammetry, Chronoamperometry, Square Wave Voltammetry, and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

·  Simulation of amalgam formation with mercury electrodes

·  Modeling surface adsorption with unprecedented detail.

·  An optional adaptive grid algorithm.

·  Improved computational efficiency via parallel processing.

·  Modeling redox  catalysis reactions on electrode surfaces.

DigiElch comes in two versions: DigiElch Standard and DigiElch Professional. The features are:

DigiElch Standard

·  Very fast and accurate simulation of the current response for any user-defined mechanism consisting of charge-transfer steps and first- or second-order chemical reactions.

·  1D simulation of finite and semi-infinite diffusion processes for the most common 1D-electrode geometries.

·  real 2D-simulations of  band and disk electrode.

·  inclusion of IR-drop and double layer charging.

·  Two different simulation methods - a very fast "fixed grid simulator" and a relatively slow “Adaptive Grid Simulator”.

·  Export of the screen display in Windows meta file format.

·  Export of simulated current curves and concentration profiles into ASCII-files. Several formatting options which enable the exported data to be imported into third-party presentation software.

·  Import of experimental (or re-import of simulated) curves.

DigiElch Professional

Includes all features of DigiElch-Standard plus a non-linear regression strategy applied to multiple data files simultaneously to determine thermodynamic and kinetic parameters from your experimental data.
